It is about time I lower that number ...

Hello! I created this blog to keep track of my journey to a healthier and happier A1C. After my recent trip to the endocrinologist, I can certainly say that I did not leave the office with a smile on my face. I knew my blood sugar numbers had not been perfect, but they definitely were not the worst. Well, it turns out that my overall average blood sugars over the last 3 months were not good and by not good, I mean 7.9. No diabetic wishes to have an A1C of 7.9 and especially when you are reminded that the ideal A1C is below 7. I always told myself that I would not let diabetes destruct my health, but realistically, if I do not get my A1C under 7, then I might let diabetes damage a part of me. So, with that being said, I have decided that I HAVE TO get my A1C down and what better way then to blog my journey. I have already told myself that I will be successful and I will lower my A1C. Let's just go day by day ... I'll blog the meals I eat, exercise routine, and any emotional bursts that may occur. So join me if you want to lower your A1C or watch along. Because us diabetics know how difficult it is to live with this disease. How every day is a daily struggle and that substance within the bottle labeled Novolog does so much for us. Well, now it is time for me to do my part and take control over my disease. Diabetes does not control us .. but we control it! :)
